We are happy to welcome Mohammed Al-Khafaji to the lab. Mohammed will be working on identifying the key RNA-protein interactions that target SL2 RNAs to mRNAs derived from downstream genes in operons.

Understanding the mechanism of a nematode Achilles’ heel.
Research Technician - 3 year position, funded by the BBSRC - application deadline: 08/11/19.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow - 3 year position, funded by the BBSRC - application deadline: 08/11/19.

Recurrent evolution of a eukaryotic molecular trait: acquisition of polycistronic RNA processing.
PhD Studentship - 4 year, funded by EASTBIO BBSRC.

Rosie recently attended the meeting, Parasitic Helminths: New Perspectives in Biology and Infection Parasitic Helminths: New Perspectives in Biology and Infection, held on Hydra, Greece, where she presented some of the latest findings concerning the protein and RNA components of the spliced leader trans-splicing machinery.
